Newcrest’s Telfer gold-copper mines are situated in the Great Sandy Desert, some 1,900 kilometres by road northeast of Perth. The Telfer underground operations utilise sub-level cave mining with selective mining of the high-grade reefs.

Over a three year period, InCycle completed a number of deep shafts here in difficult ground conditions. These shafts were sprayed to a depth of 220 meters, with Fibrecrete applied at thicknesses from
75-100mm.
